Shallow water. Deep thoughts.

We are a Charleston based nonprofit for Veterans. Through fishing trips and life coaching, our team provides an environment to question what's worth a life's work after service.

Our Why

After service, many veterans ask, “What’s worth a life’s work?” Brackish Veteran Works creates space to explore that question—on the water, around a fire, and with a community that understands.

What We Do

We host half-day and overnight fishing trips. On overnights, a certified master life coach helps guide an honest conversation about purpose—and supports alumni as they put traction to their goals.

Who We Serve

All veterans are welcome. We place special emphasis on disabled vets and those from special operations and combat arms communities.

Fishing, adventure, and community

Charleston’s backwaters and barrier islands set the stage. We chase fish, trade stories, grill steaks, and build the kind of camaraderie that lasts long after the dock lines are tied.
